FACILITIES

Our 50 acre site at Port Clarence Offshore Base is located in the shadow of the world-famous Transporter Bridge. Wilton Engineering Services have recently undertaken a large number of site improvements, that include upgrade to our blasting/coating facilities, and the construction of a new 1200m2 covered area.

Fabrication Assembly Halls

Our Port Clarence Offshore Base headquarters houses four fabrication assembly halls each 64.5 x 33 x 26m (to underside of door portals). Each hall is equipped with 2 x 30T over head cranes. Full height doors in the river gable end allow movement of completed structures onto the fit-out aprons and to the load-out quays.

Quays

Load-out Quays serve the full river frontage of the four assembly halls and the mooring facility extends to the downstream boundary of the site, giving a total berth of 235 metres. The angle-quay provides roll-on and roll-off facilities.

Paint Facility

The 60,000 sq. ft. paint facility is equipped with 2 x 10T overhead cranes and extensive blasting and painting equipment. The large blast pen (40m x 18m) is capable of handling complete fabications and deck sections. More information can be found in our paint section.

Stores / Storage

A single-storey insulated stores building 22,000 sq. ft. is equipped to service permanent materials and vendor supplies. In addition we have extensive internal and external storage areas within the 50 acre site.

LOCATION

Port Clarence (54.59° lat., -1.23° lng.) is located on the banks of the River Tees close to the North Sea coast. This leaves us ideally placed to serve all North-Sea locations both on and off shore. Teesside, and the North-East of England in general, has a deep-rooted industrial and engineering heritage that makes for a strong support base for all companies based in the area.
